The Law of God

(Edition 3.0 19990525-20110925-20120905)

The Commanded Reading of the Law on the Sabbath year at Tabernacles explaining the structure of Biblical Law and the Prophets is contained in this comprehensive series of papers centred on the Two Great Commandments. Scripturally they are required reading for any professing Bible student.

Mark 12:29-31: “Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘HEAR, O ISRAEL, THE LORD OUR GOD, THE LORD IS ONE.  AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.””

In this quote from Mark Jesus is reminding those who asked him that there is only ONE Almighty God and that the greatest commandment is not only love, but also to acknowledge that the object of our worship is to be only ONE, Eloah.

“Let us hear the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and Keep His Commandments: for this is the whole duty of man” (Eccl. 12:13).

“And the Dragon was wroth with the woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the Commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Rev. 12:17; cf. 14:12).
